I just could not stand it and had to post this one. First of all, Stephanie contacted me about going to the beach and photographing her family. At first, we turned them down. I did not think we could do it…..but things happened and it worked out that we could go….so we kept it a secret from Sophie and Brody…so on Wednesday afternoon, we picked them up from school and little did they know that their bags were packed and we were heading South. So they did their typical-after school whine….”where are we going….just take me home…..I am tired…I don’t wanna go” but we told them they had to….we told them we had to go to Corbin. The plan was to wait til one of them realized that we had passed Corbin and then tell them….but I was busting at the seams and told them to guess where we were really going….well neither ever got close! They were so excited!!!! So we got to spend a few days resting and then working alittle. We met the Martin family at Seaside and photographed them Saturday evening. When I first met the Martin’s there was just 5 of them and now…well there are more….and sure to even be more. I think that is just awesome….just because two people fell in love. I will post more soon but wanted to just add this one for now. This is S and D’s oldest son, his wife and their little “G” man .

Why is it so HARD to blog for me??????

I mean really, I love to talk and visit….probably could get more done if I did not visit with my clients so much! But it is why I love my job. But it also takes the time that I could post on the blog more, I guess. Or maybe it is because I post on Facebook much more because it is easier.

But I am going to try to do better. I miss my blog! So to just update you on what is going on with CWP and the Watkins’ Family….

Highlights for CWP:
I was honored with the London Women in Business ~ Entrepeneur of the Year…..enormous honor….still very blessed for just another successful 1st and 2nd quarter in business…..blessed with wonderful clients….I love ya
We recently completed our Life Wall Gallery I at Saint Joseph London’s new hospital. Life Wall Gallery II should be completed in the next few days.

We are also booked for the year! (truly overbooked, just ask Leah) So in this economy, that is WONDERFUL!!!!

Highlights from the Watkins’ Family:
I could use this whole page for that. First of all, Matthew graduated in June….I cried alot from Jan. thru May (seriously, Tim thought there was something wrong with me)…Matthew is now a freshman at LMU. We did have something happen in the lives of Aunt Deb and Uncle Bart that is truly a shame and it hurts but I do believe that God is a just God and he will take care of it all. We miss them and don’t believe for a minute they deserve what maybe coming their way but again….just trusting that it will all work out. Some of you that know the details and know us…know that we believe you do what is right and if you do something you should not….well you pay the “piper” but….what some are trying to do to them is not fair and very unjust and personal! See I got on my soapbox but just asking for prayer….these two mean the world to my children!….back to all the good news

So Matthew started college, Brody started High School and Sophie is on the “big hall” . So lots of changes!!!! I lost some weight!!!Yay…so far keeping it off….10 pounds from my goal weight!!!!, We vacationed with the Royster’s and Sizemore’s this past summer in Seaside! We had a great time….already been back last weekend and heading back in a few weeks. If only we had a private plane to take us there. LOL. We are finally actually working on our home…yes, been there for almost 6 years. I have just been too busy. So Tim has been painting, painting and painting…..then hanging, hanging, and hanging prints….not me! Oh, and I almost forgot….we got a puppy. Her name is Daisy and she is beautiful and wild and crazy! She is a Golden Doodle! Life is good! Everybody seems to be HAPPY and that is all a momma wishes for.

OK…..I think that about sums our lives up.

We do have a massive decision to make in the next few weeks and I mean it is life changing. Please pray for God’s will, favor and protection as we make this decision!
Hint: It is a dream come true but just want to make sure it is the right one for our family.

It is that time again….well actually I feel like I am behind this year…..and of course with the oil spill……I wanted to wait and see but we have decided to begin our plans. Tim has watched very carefully and so far Florida’s Gulf is perfect. I have also received alot of emails from companies that we have used to make our reservations and all thus far are offering complete refunds if the current were to change and come their way….that is all we needed to know to make our plans. We will again be staying on 30a which is between Destin and Panama City. Either way….we will be about 10 minutes away! We would have loved to begin earlier but our schools are not out for Summer Break til June 14th. If you are interested please call the studio for more info. This is a great way to document a wonderful time for a family where all of life’s stresses are far away and family is everything…..Also inquire about our Custom Designed Albums!!!!

This story begins with his momma calling to schedule a engagement session (I had photographed her neice and nephews before…..sooooo I photographed their engagement portraits. To this day, they are some of my favorites!!!! Fast forward a couple years……Paige emails to say she was pregnant (we were so excited)…..so the next chapter of this story began…..This is little Landon……this is his debut on the blog….but I have a feeling he will appear again….I also went back and pulled a few from their Maternity Session, Newborn Session and now their 4 month session. This is the greatest part of my job is seeing a couple become a family. Happy First Mother’s Day, Paige.

South Laurel Prom 2010 / Kentucky Senior Photographer

A couple of weeks ago, Matthew asked me if we could have a After Prom Party at the Studio…..for a moment….I thought oh no….but just a moment because to know where my son is was pretty nice….not that I would expect him to do anything he shouldn’t but…..well….it was a mommy moment. So all the kids came to the studio and got their pictures taken….and then made their way to Malone’s for dinner. They all looked amazing……only thing that would have been nice would have been if the sun would have decided to visit us on Saturday….other than that…it was a perfect day. After the prom, the kids started rolling in. We had a nice crowd…..Lots of the moms had sent food so we had lots of goodies…..a special thanks to Brenda Royster, Amy Gaines and her mom, Jessica’s cupcakes, Gina’s brownies…..and I am now gonna forget somebody but it was great! I almost felt guilty chaperoning this bunch cause they are such good kids soooo I just stayed upstairs in the office and worked on their images. I completed everything around 5 a.m….but they were all asleep by then….so I just listened to the quietness and thought just how blessed I am…….and knowing what good kids my son is surrounded by everyday. I am proud that we offered a place that they got to spend the night laughing and goofing off. I just wished I had videoed the kids with the karaoke machine. What a night….even one of the girls put on their facebook…..prom=lots of fun (or something like that) spending prom night at Carletta’s studio= priceless…..how sweet is that .

It is time…..to just do it! As this is my last year in the 3’s, I am looking at my face closer to see if any new lines are showing up.
Guess I am thinking that I am going to fall apart by my 40 Birthday….well thats what Tim tells me.
But really I don’t mind turning 40. It is all about how you feel and I don’t feel like I am almost 39.5 years old. I am thinking alittle more about my health and well being…One thing that I think I will do more of…..is doing things just for me. Whether it is going and getting a mani/pedi or going to the gym or just trying not to stress so much. Guess, I am thinking about what do I really want to do with the rest of my life…..since the first half is almost gone. I don’t believe in living with regrets….there is a quote about how we will never regret doing but will regret if we didn’t do it. I have gotten to do lots of things and pretty much have few regrets….But I do want to live by the ocean…or as close as my budget will let me….so one of these days you will see me heading South…..I promise. Wish I could right now since the prices are right but I need a few more years before we are ready to make that kind of investment….but one of these days….I promise……

So you are wondering what I am getting at or already gave up on me by this time….but this lady called and said….I want to do something for me….for my children and my parents…..what a wonderful idea. So to celebrate her Birthday…..she came and done a session just for her. I think this is wonderful and such a nice legacy to give to your family. Every woman should do this. We had a great time and she loved her images.

I think this is my third time photographing the Croley Family. They are again a very sweet family. We have always had lots of fun with them and just have enjoyed getting to know them. I tell Tracy all the time that her voice and a longtime friend of mine is exactly the same….and it is funny because their personalities are very similar too. I love what we designed for them for their wall. It just tells a story about their lives and just is a great family wall gallery. We did these in canvas and it is gorgeous. Can’t wait to see it on her wall!!!!

Jenn is one of my biggest supporter. We have been together for a long time and I truly value her not just as a client but a friend. I have seen her family go from one beautiful little curly blonde to the addition of this sweet little boy. It never fails….I may be having a bad day and I can open my emails and there is one from Jenn that brightens my day. She is another one of those people that always has a smile on her face……well only once have I not seen that gorgeous smile and it was for Eli’s newborn session……she walked thru the door and I thought…..oh my gosh….she has about killed them all getting here….but considering all the times I have photographed this family and to only see her stressed once is wonderful. I must tell a funny story about her……I called her cell phone the other day and it went to her answering system and this is what it said…..”Hi, this is Jennifer. I have either lost my phone or I am busy, please leave me a message and I will get back with you, promise. I laughed and laughed but that is Jenn! I also want to add a few maternity and newborn to this post….I don’t think I have posted any of these if I have sorry…..but here they go again.

Also I know it is almost summer but as I was going back, I came across this…..I loved it…..and because I have photographed Jenn and her family for so long, I knew she would too!

I was honored to capture Amy and Shane’s boys from the very beginning and I just feel in love with these two…..and I was so excited when Amy announced on Facebook that she was gonna have another baby. For me, I can’t imagine having 3 this small but I am convinced that Amy and Shane will do it just perfectly. Amy is one of these people that their smile is just contagious. I don’t think I have ever seen her not smiling. I am so excited for this family and it won’t be long before we meet this new little girl….and I can’t wait!!!! Here are a few from their Maternity Session recently! We are getting ready to have lots of new babies in the next few weeks and I can’t wait! Newborns are my favorites!
