This is Chelsea. I have know her family forever and love each one of them bunches……I was so honored when Tracy called and scheduled Chelsea’s Senior Portraits with us. Very Special Family and a Very Special Girl….that I know will do GREAT Things in Life!!!!! I have no doubt about that! Here are a few shots from Chelsea’s session.

O.K…..I have been working all day and because of the holiday…..it just occurred to me that today is MONDAY!

So sorry….someone should have emailed me. Sooooooo I’m gonna combine this Fashion Monday with some clothing suggestions too…..since it is almost Tuesday!

So lets talk about Â High School Senior Portrait suggestions……………..

Now if you are coming to the Studio for your Senior Portraits….this is what I like….if you are a reader but plan on going to another Studio for you Senior Portraits….check with that Photographer because we all like something different and our styles vary so what I might do with an outfit….someone would do something different. So always check.

Variety…..I like it…..please, pretty please don’t bring the same shirt in 3 different colors. I like to see different necklines….different colors, textures.

Layers…..I love layers……please, pretty please bring jackets, coats, sweaters, cardigans…..you can never bring me enough! Now when I say……coats….don’t bring big, big coats…..well one if it has a cool hood but I am talking thinner, lighter ones.

Jewelry……some like alot…..I don’t…..too much is……….TOO MUCH……I like for you bring some statement pieces but matchy, matchy is not my fav!

Accessories…..scarves…..big ones, little ones….I love them all……Hats…..make great images…..I have some but you are welcome to bring some too….also don’t forget about lots of other goodies….like leg warmers, arm warmers, vests, belts….don’t forget about BELTS….those are really nice and add to an outfit.

Clothing……….

Bring lots of shirts….dressy, casual, simple and fun….never forget to bring your favorite shirt! Jeans….just a couple pairs will do. Don’t worry about the bottoms so much…..tops are more important…..Dresses….are fun….I love long ones, short ones, flirty ones or preppy ones……even Prom dresses are really nice.

Makeup……you be you……if you don’t wear alot….I suggest you don’t wear alot….if you don’t wear makeup…..I suggest you don’t wear makeup (except some tinted moisturizer, alittle color on your checks and some gloss…..this is not the day to change your look…..who are we photographing?????? YOU so be you. You are Beautiful…..as YOU! Don’t try to cover blemishes….I can do that….

Trendy is the new kid on the block and Shannon has lots of cool clothes…..really good for High School Seniors and she has clothes for guys too.

While finding the websites….I started browsing thru Fossil’s website…..and found a few of my favorites.

Oh, I grabbed one of these at Trendy’s and it is super cute and very soft. It would look great with lots of things. It is a scarf that has no ends just a big circle! Fossil also has these too.

That right…..Claire is our last 2009 Senior. She had been so busy with Senior Life that she had not taken the time to have her portraits done……so we had only a couple weeks to get her taken care of…..but we done it and done it in time! After visiting many collages, she has chosen Purdue…..Claire, I wish you the very best and I know you will do great. I had a great time photographing Claire. She is a very pretty girl…..a natural beauty…..yes, she came with no makeup……she normally does not wear any so we photographed her that way but look how lovely she is and it is her….as she is. Wait….I think we did put some gloss on her lips but I think that was it. Also, Claire don’t kill me but I found it so sweet that both of Claire’s grandparents came to the viewing……Claire you are a lucky gal…..and very loved when both grandparents come to your viewing! That is what I am asking myself…..

CANÂ I BE ANYMORE BEHIND???????

Well, I guess I could be…….someone must be putting miracle grow on those order folders because they are growing…I swear it!

I even seen Leah walk over to them and she kinda flipped thru them and I seen her eyes get alittle bigger at that very moment! Soooooo Tim and I have decided to lock ourselves in our offices for this long weekend and work….yeah thats what I said….WORK…..The kids are going to family and we are just gonna work, work, work……Of course, we will get with family on Monday for a cookout but Saturday and Sunday are workdays for the Watkins Team. Tim says we have 7 wks til Summer Vacay and we gotta get caught up. I have so many sessions that I have not posted so I am also gonna try to do that too this weekend. Blogging takes alot of time so I can’t promise how many I will get on….but I will do my best. Since I am an avid FaceBook girl…I actually post on there more….the interface is simple and faster….than blogging….when someone creates (may already be possible…if it is please someone let me know) something that connects FB, Twitter and Wordpress….Ahhhh….that would be great! But until then……here are some images from recent sessions.

First is Miss Catherine……what can I say about this girl….other than I luv her! She and my Matthew were best friends when they were in elementary school. He talked about her all the time and she talked about him….she told me that he made her cry when they were little…..being a concerned parent…I said, what did he do?…..she said he sung a song about hanging Barney…..come on you all know that one……about hanging Barney in a tree. Well we had a big laugh over that. This gal has a special spot in my heart and she is also family : ).

To my Seniors…..as the year is winding down….and I am completely done with the Grad Card frenzy…..I just want to say Thank You for just being the most understanding caring group of kids….Thank you, Thank You, Thank You. I am incredibly humbled by you. I am so proud of you…..all of you. What a great group of kids! I don’t know how….but I always get some of the sweetest, cutest and amazing Seniors ever. So….I got to thinking what would I tell you about Life…..(ya know I am getting old….so I can do this now) What would be my Wish for you (now I sound like Rascal Flatts)…..but all kidding aside…..This is what I would wish for you!

On Fashion Monday…I had mentioned a new shop that is almost ready to open (Opening this Saturday). Well the owner and I decided to team together and take on a cool project. We brought in some kids and had a model shoot using some of her new fashions…..it was alot of fun….did I have time to take this on……heck no….but this is what I love to do….so my supportive hubby….instead of getting mad……helped me get this project done for the fast approaching deadline…..a big THANKS to everybody for all your help…..we had little time to pull this off but it went well. Trendy is going to use these in their store for displays and some will be posters….how neat is that….It is perfect for their style…it is a more urban type store instead of boutique. Go check it out. I know I already have 2 pieces and will be getting more……So here are the models. I can’t put them all on…too many but these are some of my favorites…to see the rest go to Trendy. Hope you enjoy!

Sweet Senior Lindsey…..Corbin High School Senior

This is Lindsey.Â She is not “blood” family but I think of her as family. It is a long story but I think she is a pretty cool girl…..and by the way….an awesome dancer. If you have ever watched the Corbin Dance Team…..you have definately seen her.Â I can’t believe she is a SENIOR…..it seems like yesterday that she was a little girl……and she has made such a beautiful young lady. I wish you the very BEST!
