Well, here it is Monday again…..and I am cold. I want sunshine…..I want sunny days…..I have had enough rain….and all its gloominess. Which leads me to……..RAINBOOTS….if you don’t have some….get some. I love mine. No, I don’t wear them all the time but I do wear them……and I hear that the new TRENDY little shop opening here in London is gonna have them….maybe even for little girls. I love my boots…..especially for just running errands with.

Now…..I hope everybody had a Great Mother’s Day! I sure did…..I ate Dumplings and all that homemade country food that I grew up with….that I never get anymore…..then we topped off the evening at Tim’s mom and there we ordered Pat’s Cheeseburgers. Oh, I miss those. By the way, they are the BEST cheeseburgers ever……probably not too healthy and very greasy but their grilled onions on them….just make them perfect. My kids cleaned my car which needed it so so bad and I got pampered alot.

Sorry……..I know that had nothing to do with Fashion….but since Mother’s Day was yesterday….I thought about celebrity moms that I love their fashion style…..guess since last night was the finale of Celebrity Apprentice and Mother’s Day….well that is how my brain works……so I started thinking about Celebrity Moms…..and my all time favorite is
Katie Holmes……she is classic hip but she make it her own and I love it. I don’t think I have seen much that I have not liked on her….She is “put together” but it looks like she put no effort in it……that is what I love. Have you ever seen people that you know that they worked so hard to make sure everything matches……be a little REBEL and don’t match so much. Even it took you forever to put your look together…..don’t let everybody else know that : ). Some neutrals….go along way. Also if you have that baby tummy that just has never left….I blame it on 3 c-sections…..Things like what Katie has one above is great camo for hiding those….just don’t buy tight. Love the new vintage jeans with the holes……and yes I don’t think you have to be a teen to pull this off……but do be careful and don’t make it a sexy look then you look like an old woman trying to look sexy ; ). I think you must go with the JCrew look with the holey jeans….not the punk rocker kinda style. As far as the vintage jeans there are some that are very holey and some with minimal holes….matter of fact I am wearing my vintage jeans today……wanting, wishing the new ones at JCrew….. www.jcrew.com
Next…..I love scarves….they make an outfit…..I own so many that Tim had to install a scarf holder thingy to keep them on and so I could see my choices….oh, and the scarves…look great on little girls too. You can buy scarves everywhere……I personally don’t buy expensive ones….well unless they are on sale…..it is a trendy thing that I may not like as well in 6 months so I don’t invest alot in those….I have even found some pretty nice ones at Wal-Mart before.

I absolutely love this sweater/cardigan. Did I say how much I love this sweater? It is so comfy and fits so well. I am usually not a fan of this particular kind of sweaters (tapered ends) because I am short but this one works…another reason to always try on…you just never know. But this is something that I wear out and about and I put it on while at home to because it is so cozy….great to put over a tank or cami….I promise you will love it……pair it with a scarf and a tank with vintage jeans and a cool Photo Belt Buckle @ Carletta Watkins Photography and you are ready to go anywhere.
